Updated July 1, 2014

The 912 cow's first calf was 77#s and was long and flashy. As a baby he would come up to me and smell my pants leg.

When we did the blood work we got excited. 912 is bred very similar to most of Henry Gardner's cattle that he has taken to the bank to the tune of millions of dollars.

A year earlier I drove to Sunny Slope Angus in Minnesota to see possibly the best son of Objective. SS Surge had good feet, large testicles, and was extremely gentle. When I got home, I bred 912 to Surge and here came Prosperity. Both Igenity and Pfizer DNA matched and it was exciting to have that bull calf in my corral. Think about it: he's double bred to the best of 036, EXT, and Objective.

The main difference between her and all the rest bred similarly: she's gentle, low birth, a perfect udder, and has extreme eye appeal.

We promptly took her to embryo and implanted 24 embryos that should be born the first of February 2013. You can believe me when I say February 1, 2013 will be one of the most exciting days of my 50 years in this business.
