Updated December 4, 2012

In our 2001 total dispersal, Highlander Angus Ranch in Evant, Texas (about in the center of that state) came to our sale and bought a number of my top females, including a full sister to Royal Rito.

A couple of years later I drove down to see how the cows they purchased were doing. The 100+ degree days, the parasites, the scarce foliage was taking their toll.

As I walked that pasture I saw a long, smooth, perfect uddered cow about 7 years old. She had a great bull calf at her side. She was picture perfect and I snapped a picture of her on the spot.

Low and behold, she later produced the High Prime 4037 bull. She was flushed many times and died at an old age in that pasture. She was a long and flashy cow and very easy keeping with great carcass. Gentle, efficient, trouble free and a power house Angus female with 39 registered calves at last count.

As a footnote, the commercial breeders around there that bought these ET full brothers to High Prime commented that those bulls just don't lose weight like the other bulls.

High Prime will be 8 years old in December 2012 and is out with about 50 commercial bulls in a huge pasture where sagebrush is plentiful and grass is hard to find. People say he looks good as ever.
